Coyres Aluminum Keyboard Enclosures
The Coyres C4 features an all-aluminum enclosure, and unlike other keyboards, the Entire Aluminum body of the C4 is held together by two single Aluminum plates. Moreover, to enhance the texture of the appearance and superior touch, Coyres uses a better aluminum enclosures processing technology.
While choosing the right material for the enclosure is one thing, the finish is another thing, even more important, Coyres keyboard enclosure has used improved anodization and sandblasting processes.
Surface pretreatment: First, we use chemical or physical methods to clean the surface of the profile to expose the pure substrate, to facilitate obtaining a complete and dense artificial oxide film, and then obtain a mirror or matte surface by mechanical means.
Anodizing: Under certain process conditions, the surface of the pretreated material is anodized on the surface of the substrate to form a dense, porous, and strong Al2O3 film layer.
Sealing: The pores of the porous oxide film formed after anodization are sealed to enhance the anti-pollution, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance of the oxide film.
The oxide film is colorless and transparent. Using the strong adsorption of the oxide film before sealing, some metal salts are adsorbed and deposited in the film pores, so that the surface of the profile can show many colors other than the original color (silver white), such as: black, bronze, gold, and stainless steel.
Finally, we will apply an improved sandblasting process to the anodized enclosures. Changed the powder strength, curing temperature, and other parameters of the original process to achieve our ideal texture.
